Project Management Readings

I have taught a number of subjects related to leadership, project management, and change management both directly and for other providers. In the area of project management, I often teach PMP Exam Preparation bookcamps and Scrum Master courses.

Often I have been asked to provide a list of books for further reading. So here’s my lists. Many of them I have read myself. Some I know of but have never read.

	How to Document a Project Plan What can I say? This is my book and I think it's GREAT. And of course it leads the pack. 😀 Being serious for a moment, it's really designed as the base for a PMO and documentation when a client has neither.
	Seven Habits of Highly Effective People The classic summary of management good habits. It provides a great structure for understanding good management as well as some great information. Also includes a few of Covey's own prejudices but you can't win 'em all. A basic management text for all managers and a must read.
	A Guide to the Project Management Book of Knowledge Not quite the Project Manager's bible but close. This is the standard for project management.
	Agile Project Management: Creating Innovative Products A look at the agile methodologies and project management.
	The Art of Agile Practice: A Composite Approach for Projects and Organizations (Advanced & Emerging Communications Technologies) A discussion on one methodology for using Agile Techniques.
	Leading Agile Teams Discusses Agile from a management point of view.
