Who is Glen

Picture of Glen FordGlen brings over 20 years experience in both project management, systems and entrepreneurship to bear on his client’s projects. His experience has included all aspects of project management including scope development, scheduling, risk management, and change management. He has been involved in projects as widely diverse as construction, business development, marketing, systems development and systems integration. He is a serial entrepreneur both for others and for himself. He has provided leadership in small, medium and large projects and has managed permanent teams of up to 24 people.

Glen believes strongly in continuous learning. He has a B.Sc. from McMaster University, an MCPM from York University(Schulich), and a PMP designation. In addition, he passed the Insolvency Counselor’s qualification from CAIRP and completed most of the Certified General Accountants qualification course. He is also a trained facilitator and course designer. While with CSA he was a member of their Learning Forum (Organizational Effectiveness Facilitators).

Glen has a particular interest in improving the process of software development and integration. To support this he has developed capabilities in various methodologies, including SEI/CMM, ISO 9000, Coad/Yourdon, UML, and PMI/PMBOK. He has particular interests in the areas of quality management, organization change, communications and people management and their effect on software processes. He has also developed the “6 Ds of Project Management” methodology.

In addition, Glen has published articles in Vista (the American Society for Quality Control), Share (Institute of Internal Auditors – Australia) and Managing Change & Technology (edited by Peter De Jager of Y2K fame). He is the co-author of AceIt! A PMP Preparation Guide (2nd & 3rd Editions) . He is author of “How to Document a Project Plan: What You Need To Know To Design A Project Management Plan Quickly and Easily” and several other books on communications and other topics.
